1949 : Mysore State Billiards Association was born. 1963 : National Billiards & Snooker Championships for the first time and several times thereafter. 1974 : Silver Jubilee Celebration. 1977 - 1980 : Acquisition of land, putting up the building and moved in to the present location in 1980. 1987 : The mcDowel World Amateur Snooker Championship. 1989 : The Nilgiri’s first ever Ladies National Billiards & Snooker championship. 1990 : The Escorts Yamaha world Pro-am Billiards Championship and The Goldflake World Billiards Championship. 1991 : The 5th World Under 21 Snooker Championship and The Goldflake International Snooker Masters. 1993 : The Goldflake Grand Slam World Professional Billiards Tournament. 1995 : The 4th Ladies Nationals. 1996 : Grand Slam Series Gold Flake Professional Billiards event 1st Leg- 26th Nov – 1st Dec 1996. 1996 : Grand Slam Series GoldFlake Professional Billiards event- 31st Jan – 4th Feb 1996. 1999 : Golden Jubilee Celebration. 2000 : The 12th World under 21 Snooker Championship. 2001 : First ever Pool Nationals. 2002 : Om Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance 2nd Asian Billiards Championship. 2008 : ONGC – IBSF World Billiards Championship. 2008 : Started Modernization project to be completed in 2 phases. 2010 : Completion of phase 1 of modernization. 2011 : IBSF World Billiards Championship. 2014 : IBSF World Billiards Championship. 2016 : IBSF World Billiards Championship. 2016 : Completion of phase II of modernization. 2017 : Sub Junior and Junior (Boys and Girls) National Billiards and Snooker Championships. 2018 : Senior (Men and Women) National Billiards and Snooker Championships. 2019 : 3rd Leg Asian Snooker Tour.
